Could you support the Pumping Marvellous Foundation with a Legacy Donation?

Pumping Marvellous are here to support you in living with Heart Failure and if you’re reading this you’re interested in leaving a gift in your will. Did you know if everyone who wanted to remember us in their will made a will and left just 1% of their estate (with 99% going to others closest to them) our work would be transformed for future generations. There is an estimated 920 thousand people living with heart failure in the UK alone. And many more yet to be diagnosed. However, by the year 2030 this number is expected to rise by 50%. One in four people are currently expected to receive a heart failure diagnosis at some point in their life. A will donation will help us to help support these people come to terms with their diagnosis and to live better for longer.

Free Online will

Writing a will doesn’t have to be an lengthy or expensive process. We’ve teamed up with makeawillonline to provide our supporters with a free easy-to-use online will. Follow www.makeawillonline.co.uk/pumpingmarvellous to take advantage of this. All wills are checked by fully qualified solicitor and if you have a question you can call their helpline. To help us with our campaign, details of your gift will be shared with us: the amount of any gift and the date you made the will. We would be very grateful if you also choose to share your name and your contact details. We may contact you to thank you and to keep you updated with information about us.

You can make a will and leave a legacy to us without sharing this information by paying for the will directly yourself here: www.makeawillonline.co.uk/online-wills. When prompted use our charity number 1151848 to search for the Pumping Marvellous Foundation. Whether or not you choose to share information on your gift with us: we are enormously grateful to your decision to help us with a gift in your will.

If you do already have a will and want to leave a gift to us, contact your solicitor and let them know your intentions.  You can work with them either to (a) make a new will or (b) a shorter and less expensive “codicil”.

Please ensure that your solicitor uses our full name: “Pumping Marvellous Foundation”, our charity number: 1151848, and our registered address: Suite 111 Business First, Millennium City Park, Millennium City Road, Preston, Lancashire, PR2 5BL.

Any further questions

If you got to this point you’re probably already aware of the vital work we do. But did you know that Pumping Marvellous relies on donations and fundraising to carry out our work. Your donation will help us to provide continued support and resources for heart failure patients and their families around the UK

Of course. You are not making a binding commitment to us. You can change your will at any time.

Well, possibly. Leaving money to us or any charity could lower your Inheritance Tax Liability. If you leave over a certain percentage of your estate you may be eligible to pay a reduced IHT rate. Every case is different though so it is best to contact a solicitor for details.
