Pumping Marvellous

Many people receive a significant of benefit being part of a community. Sharing ideas, learning from others with similar challenges, people get benefit from being around others.

The Pumping Marvellous Community is made up of thousands of patients, carers and family members like you. They all have to deal with heart failure in some form or other and through their shared experiences, community members learn and absorb different ways of doing things, different strategies to better live well with heart failure.

Our main communities are based on Facebook. Facebook is a good social media platform that works well for building communities.

Once you have accessed the community, you will be asked a set of questions. Once we have reviewed your answers, we will either allow you access or not. We know this may seem a little harsh, but we are focussed on ensuring our community is kept safe and away from harm’s way by individuals or organisations that may want to take advantage of our vulnerable community members.

The community is moderated by around 20 Patient Educators, and several administrators. All patients and have a deep knowledge of what it’s like to live with heart failure. They ensure the group is safe and members are always respectful to each other.

However, you must abide by the rules of the group.
